To furnish taxpayers and public officials with accurate and helpful information, the Committee on Accountable Government conducts a nonpartisan review of the cost of state government and its political subdivisions, in accordance with ITA's Sound Budgeting Principles. ITA's Sound Budgeting Principles foster a sound environment for economic growth in Iowa, promote accountability, efficiency, and long-term stability in State finances.
